LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — It was just like any other Friday at Monument Terrace in Lynchburg. Dozens of veterans from multiple organizations gathered for the Support Our Troops rally. It's something that's been going on every Friday since 2001, through sun, snow, and rain. Friday, Jan. 29, however, held a special meeting for some of the rally's founders. It's the 1,000th consecutive Friday they've met to live up to the rally's name. |
