Congressman Ben Cline Moves Forward With Healthcare Tour on Day Two in Harrisonburg Area

Yesterday, Congressman Ben Cline continued his three-day healthcare tour across Virginia’s Sixth District, building on the momentum from Tuesday’s kickoff in Roanoke. On Wednesday, he visited additional healthcare facilities, engaging with professionals and examining the vital efforts of hospitals, clinics, and organizations committed to providing quality care in the community.

“The tour has been a fantastic opportunity to connect with various individuals in the healthcare industry and hear their important concerns and their patients’ concerns,” Congressman Ben Cline said. “While we are fortunate with outstanding hospitals and passionate providers in Virginia’s Sixth District, visiting these institutions and speaking with healthcare workers has given me valuable insights to advocate effectively for both their needs and those of their community. I am devoted to making sure that our healthcare professionals and their patients are heard in the policymaking arena,”

Yesterday, on the second day of the tour, Congressman Cline was in the Harrisonburg area to visit Augusta Health in Fishersville and James Madison University’s Nursing Program.

Today, he will conclude the tour in Winchester, where he will meet with individuals from the Shenandoah University’s Health Professions School as well as representatives from Valley Health Winchester Medical Center.

On the first day of the tour on Tuesday, Congressman Cline visited Sheila S. Strauss Hospice House, Friendship Richfield Living, the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute at the Virginia Tech Carilion Center, and the Clinic Center for Simulation, Research, and Patient Safety, where he met with healthcare providers and discussed the pressing issues facing their facilities.
