Today, Congressman Ben Cline (R-VA) issued the below statement in response to President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address.

Rep. Cline said, “Since President Biden took office, he has focused on pushing a far-Left agenda to appease the radical members of his party. The Biden agenda includes support for open borders and amnesty; job-killing anti-energy policies that make us more dependent on foreign oil; reckless spending proposals that has put our country on a path towards nearly $32 trillion in debt; and rising inflation that increases the cost of everyday goods on families. While Joe Biden keeps talking and living in an alternate reality, the American people deserve action to govern responsibly, secure our southern border, restore our energy independence, and protect our constitutional freedoms – leave our Nation in a stronger place for future generations. That is what House Republicans are focused on, and what I will keep fighting for every day.”

Congressman Ben Cline represents the Sixth Congressional District of Virginia. He previously was an attorney in private practice and served both as an assistant prosecutor and Member of the Virginia House of Delegates. Cline and his wife, Elizabeth, live in Botetourt County with their two children.
