Congressman Ben Cline tours Virginia farms

WSET

(WSET) — Congressman Ben Cline went on his annual farm tour on Wednesday, stopping at several farms in the state.

First, Cline attended a roundtable where he said he discussed the successes of the "#1 Ag district in VA and ways Congress can offer improvement."

Some of those issues he mentioned were supply chain challenges, rising prices and the 2023 Farm Bill coming up.

After the roundtable, Cline made a stop at Huffman Livestock in Lexington.

Cline says the farm has been a leader in cattle procurement for over 70 years. Specializing in the purchase and sale of feeder cattle, Cline said Huffman Livestock supplies beef to more than half of the country's states.
