Rep. Ben Cline votes for defense bill aimed at strengthening military, saving taxpayer dollars

WSET

(WSET) — On Thursday, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2024 (NDAA) which hopes to provide for the needs of service members and their families through a pay increase, while supplying the military with the extensive resources to counter the threats potentially hostile nations.

The NDAA also includes a measure, which Virginia Congressman Ben Cline cosponsored, that prohibits the Defense Dept. from paying for or reimbursing transportation for service members who receive an abortion.

"For too long, the Biden Administration has politized our military in an attempt to further push its radical, woke agenda. I’m proud to support the FY24 NDAA, which is the most pro-life, pro-America defense bill in recent memory," Rep. Cline said. "By passing this bill, the House took an important step to ensuring that the American warfighter is the best equipped, best trained, and most lethal fighting force in the world."
