Congressman Ben Cline Launches Three-Day Healthcare Tour Across Virginia’s Sixth District

Yesterday, Congressman Ben Cline kicked off the first day of his comprehensive three-day Sixth District Healthcare tour, visiting key healthcare facilities on Tuesday in Roanoke. The tour will take Congressman Cline to various communities across Virginia’s Sixth Congressional District, where he will engage with healthcare professionals and explore the work of hospitals, clinics, and organizations dedicated to delivering quality care.

"The past few years have brought significant changes and challenges to our healthcare system, and I’ve heard from countless constituents who are concerned about the future of their healthcare," said Congressman Cline. "In Virginia's Sixth District, we are fortunate to have outstanding hospitals, clinics, and care providers who are deeply committed to serving our communities. By visiting these facilities and listening to the experiences of doctors, nurses, and healthcare professionals, I can better represent their needs along with the needs of citizens who utilize these local healthcare providers. I am committed to ensuring that those on the front lines of healthcare have a strong voice in the policymaking process.”

On the first day of the tour, Congressman Cline visited the Sheila S. Strauss Hospice House, Friendship Richfield Living, the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute at the Virginia Tech Carilion Center, and the Clinic Center for Simulation, Research, and Patient Safety, where he met with healthcare providers and discussed the pressing issues facing their facilities.

Today, on the second day of the tour, Congressman Cline is in the Harrisonburg area to visit Augusta Health in Fishersville and James Madison University’s Nursing Program.

He will conclude the tour on Thursday with stops in Winchester, where he will meet with representatives from the Shenandoah Community Health Center, as well as individuals from the Shenandoah University’s Health Professions School, as well as Valley Health Winchester Medical Center.
