Congressman Cline Recognizes Bears For State Title Win

DAYTON — Blue Ridge Christian got some unexpected acknowledgment for its state championship-winning season. Ben Cline, the U.S. representative for Virginia’s 6th congressional district, congratulated the Bears on capturing the 2023-24 Virginia Association of Christian Athletics (VACA) state title on the House floor last Monday. In addition, Cline traveled to BRCS last Thursday for a meet-and-greet with the team and presented them with a plaque to honor their accomplishment, while the team gave him his own Bears t-shirt. “The state championship is an important accomplishment,” Cline said. “Whether you’re a big school or a little school, you’re going to get recognition from me on the House floor and have me tell my colleagues and the world about the great accomplishments of this team.” |
