Rep. Ben Cline on Passage of Limit, Save, Grow Act: It’s Time Democrats Come to the Negotiating Table
Washington, DC,
April 26, 2023
Today, Congressman Ben Cline (R-VA) released the following statement after he voted for, and the U.S. House of Representatives passed, the Limit, Save, Grow Act of 2023 (H.R. 2811). “President Biden and the Deficit-Loving D.C. Democrats’ inflationary spending has worked to increase our national debt to unsustainable levels-- over $31.6 TRILLION in debt and an annual deficit of nearly $1.5 TRILLION,” Cline said. “While Biden has no plan to avoid debt default, House Republicans are committed to a reasonable, responsible, and sensible solution to our Nation’s debt crisis that would limit Washington’s irresponsible spending, save taxpayer dollars, and grow the American economy. It’s time Democrats finally do their job and come to the negotiating table.” The full text of H.R. 2811 can be found here. Congressman Ben Cline represents the Sixth Congressional District of Virginia. He previously was an attorney in private practice and served both as an assistant prosecutor and Member of the Virginia House of Delegates. Cline and his wife, Elizabeth, live in Botetourt County with their two children. ### |
