Rep. Cline Pays Tribute to Harold Reid of The Statler Brothers

Yesterday, Congressman Ben Cline (VA-06) submitted an Extensions of Remarks into the Congressional Record paying tribute to founding member of Staunton's own The Statler Brothers, Harold Reid. "As a founding member of Staunton's own The Statler Brothers, Harold Reid was both an icon in Virginia's Sixth Congressional District and across the country," Cline said. "His memory and music will never be forgotten, and I was honored to memorialize his life and legacy this week in the Congressional Record. My thoughts and prayers are with Harold's wife, Brenda, and the entire Reid family in this difficult time." Harold Reid was an award-winning recording artist who was born and raised in Staunton, Virginia. He passed away at his home on Friday, April 24. Congressman Ben Cline represents the Sixth Congressional District of Virginia. He previously was an attorney in private practice and served both as an assistant prosecutor and Member of the Virginia House of Delegates. Cline and his wife, Elizabeth, live in Botetourt County with their two children. |
