Congressman Ben Cline attended his first State of the Union address as representative for the Sixth Congressional District on Tuesday night (February 5). Following remarks by President Donald Trump, Cline released the following statement:

"In tonight's State of the Union, President Trump presented a positive vision for the future of our country," Cline said. "The President made clear that if we are to achieve America's full potential, we have to put partisanship aside and work together. Rebuilding our nation's infrastructure, protecting our communities from drug and sex trafficking crossing our borders, and lowering the cost of health care all require bipartisan cooperation. I look forward to working with the President and my colleagues on these and other important issues in the 116th Congress."

Congressman Ben Cline became the 35th Congressman to represent the Sixth District of Virginia in 2019. He served in the Virginia House of Delegates from 2002 to 2018. Cline lives in Rockbridge County with his wife and twin daughters.
